About the Preparatory Division

violin

The Schwob School of Music Preparatory Division (Schwob Music Prep) was established in 1978 to offer quality music instruction to people of all ages and ability levels. Its mission is to support the musical life of the region by providing the highest level of instruction available, to act as a bridge to music education and the fine arts for the Columbus community, and to inspire a love of music in young people who grow up to be our musicians, arts supporters, and music lovers.

All lessons take place at the Schwob School of Music, an All-Steinway School, that is housed in the RiverCenter building. Music Prep students regularly take advantage of the performance halls of this 77-million-dollar facility, including Legacy Hall and Studio Theatre, as well as the School of Music's state-of-the art professional recording studio and keyboard lab.

Mr. Yuji Jones, Coordinator

Office and classes are located at the Schwob School of Music on RiverPark Campus, 900 Broadway.
